Scuola Politecnica di Design (SPD) and Volkswagen Group Design are starting a new five year collaboration program focused on the development of experimental mobility projects for Lamborghini, Audi and Volkswagen. The Milan, Italy-based university is offering eight scholarships to participate to the one year Master Program in Car and Transportation Design, which will take place from 21 October 2010 to October 2011. The university is currently accepting applications from students and professionals from all over the world, with the aim of providing training with the protagonists of automotive design.

Gordon Murray has launched his own car company. Forget million-pound price tags; his first effort will be a radical new small car so frugal you’ll recoup its £5000 cost in four years of ownership. Gordon Murray Design describes it as 'a new class of vehicle.
Volkswagen has revealed the new 2013 Golf GTI Specs ahead of a Geneva showing. Gets 217bhp or an extra 10bhp with the Performance Package. As we already know, the new Golf GTI comes with a 2.0 litre TFSI engine good for 217bhp or, if you opt for the Performance Package, you can have an extra 10bhp – enough to cut the standard GTI’s 0-62mph (6.5s) by 0.1 seconds and add an ectra 3mph to the top speed (rises to 155mph).
